General Safety Information
FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY.
When using the hard floor cleaner, basic safety precautions should
always be observed, including the following:
1.
Do not leave the hard floor cleaner unattended when plugged
in. Unplug it from socket when not in use.
2.
To prevent electric shock do not use outdoors.
3.
Not to be used as a toy. Children should be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with the appliance.
4.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
5.
Use only as described in this manual.
6.
Do not use the cleaner if it has been dropped, damaged, left
outdoors or dropped into water. Do not use the cleaner with a
damaged cord or plug. If the supply cord is damaged, it must
be replaced by the manufacturer or a recommended Service
Agent to avoid hazard and invalidating the guarantee.
7.
Do not pull or carry by cord/hose. Do not use the cord/hose
as a handle, close a door on the cord/hose or pull cord/hose
around sharp edges or corners. Do not run the carpet washer
over the cord/hose. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
8.
Do not unplug by pulling on the cord.
9.
Do not handle the plug or hard floor cleaner with wet hands.
10. Do not put any objects into openings or operate with openings
blocked, keep them free of anything that may reduce airflow.
11.
Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers and all parts of the body away
from openings and moving parts.
12.
Do not pick up hot coals, ash, cigarette butts, matches or any
hot, smoking or burning objects.
13.
Do not use without the solution tank and dirty water tank in place.
14. Turn off all controls before unplugging.
15.
Do not pick up flammable or combustible materials (lighter
fluid, petrol, kerosene etc.) or use in the presence of explosive
liquids or vapours.
16.
Do not vacuum up harmful or toxic material (chlorine, bleach,
ammonia, drain cleaner etc.).
17.
Do not vacuum up hard or sharp objects such as glass, nails,
screws, coins, etc.
18.
Do not vacuum plaster dust, concrete dust or any other building
or vitreous materials.
19.
Do not vacuum baking soda or any other powder-based carpet
refresher or deodoriser.

20. Do not use without ALL of the filters in place or with
blocked filters
21.
Keep the unit on the floor.
22. Do not attempt to remove blockages with sharp objects as they
may cause damage.
23. Store in doors put away after use to prevent tripping accidents.
24. Using improper voltage may result in damage to the motor and
possible injury to the user. The correct voltage is listed on the
rating label.
25. A hazard may occur if the cleaner runs over the power supply cord.
26. To prevent dirty water from running into the motor, do not hold
the appliance upside-down or lay on its side. Use appliance in
normal cleaning position.
27. Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
28. Do not carry appliance while motor is running.
29. Use only SAA approved 10 amp extension cords.
Non-approved cords may overheat. Care should be taken
to arrange the cord so that the cord cannot be tripped over.
WARNING: Always switch off and unplug your machine from
the electrical out let before filling and emptying the solution
tank, emptying the dirty water tank, before assembling,
opening, before connecting/disconnecting the attachments,
or carrying out maintenance or trouble shooting checks
and storage.
NOTE: Hard floors should be dry vacuumed thoroughly
before washing.
IMPORTANT: It is very important that filters are kept clean
to obtain maximum performance from your vacuum cleaner.
Not cleaning and not replacing the filters regularly can
reduce the suction power and cause overheating and
permanent damage to the vacuum cleaner. If your filters are
washable make sure they are completely dry before inserting
back into the vacuum cleaner
This machine is intended for household use only, and NOT
for commercial or industrial use.
PLEASE KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FURTHER USE.
Damage to the vacuum cleaner as a direct result of not adhering
to the general safety instructions in this user guide invalidates
the warranty.
