Using the operating instructions
½ Before connecting the receiver, please read the safety precautions in chapter 3
first.
½ The chapters 4 and 5 describe the initial installation, how to connect and adapt
the receiver to the outdoor unit (antenna, LNB,...), to the TV, VCR, etc.. This set-
up is required at initial installation and only needs to be supplemented if the
outdoor unit changes or additional equipment are connected.
½ In chapter 6 you will find information about storing new channels and changing
the channel sequence.
½ Chapter 7 describes all important functions for every-day use, such as channel
selection or volume control.
½ Troubleshooting notes can be found in chapter 8.
½ Technical terms used in the operation instructions are explained in chapter 9.
½ The Technical data can be found in chapter 10.
Important notes on handling the device
The use of a so-called "On-Screen Display" (OSD) simplifies the receiver control and
reduces the number of keys on the remote control. All functions are displayed on the
TV screen and can be controlled with a few key strokes.
Related functions are grouped into a "MENU". The active function is marked by a
blue "CURSOR" line. In the lower half of the screen a short comment to the marked
function is inserted.
Terms used in the OSD menu, remote control keys and switches and sockets are
printed bold in this instruction manual.
For example:
½ Call Main Menu with the MENU button.
Main menu
TV Programs
Radio Programs
Search
Timer
Settings
OSD Language
½ Choose the menu line Settings by marking the corresponding line red with the
help of the cursor keys up/down
½ Confirm with OK.
