Troubleshooting notes

Problem
No picture, no sound,
display is dark
No picture, no sound,
display is on
On-screen interference.
(Rectangular boxes
appear on the screen,
unit turns to still frame, no
sound. Temporarily the
screen is black with the
message "no signal".

Possible cause
No power supply
Short circuit in LNB cable
Defect or missing cable
Defect in LNB
Wrong outdoor unit entered
Outdoor unit not correctly

There might be an obstacle
between dish and satellite
(e.g. a tree)
A radio channel is tuned in

What to do
Check main power supply
Turn unit off, remove short
circuit, turn unit on again
Check all cable
connections
Replace LNB
Enter correct outdoor unit
(see 5.3)
Adjust outdoor unit.
Remove snow from outdoor
unit
Adjust outdoor unit
Use a larger dish
Install dish at an obstacle
free location
Switch to TV mode
Check outdoor unit
Start channel search
