Attach the Mounting Plate to a Concrete or Concrete
Block Wall
If you are mounting your screen on a drywall or plaster wall with wood studs, do not use this section.
Go to "Attach the Mounting Plate to a Wood Stud Wall" on page 5.
Warning: Attaching the wall mount to a brick wall could result in property
!
damage or personal injury.
Determine Mounting Hole Locations
1. Using the level and measuring tape, make a mark 2 7/8 inches directly above and 2 7/8
inches directly below the Mounted screen Center Point. These marks are the Upper and
Lower Center Points.
2. Hold the Mounting Plate against the wall, aligning the center of the Mounting Plate with
the Mounted screen Center Point. Now move the Mounting Plate so that the Upper
and Lower Center Points are visible through two slots in the Mounting Plate. Using the
Mounting Plate as a template, mark the wall within the four corner slots. These four marks
are the Mounting Hole Locations.
3. Using the level, make sure each set of three marks on the wall is on a straight and level
horizontal line.
Drill Holes and Install Anchors
1. Using the drill and 1/2 inch masonry drill bit, drill pilot holes 2-1/2 inches deep at all
Mounting Hole Locations.
2. Insert a Concrete Anchor into each hole, using the hammer to tap the anchors in place if
necessary. Make sure that the anchor is completely flush with the concrete surface even if
there is a layer of drywall or other material in front of the concrete.
