snow. T hisitemisfastened with acabletie at the factory.Cutthe cable tie before
operatingthesnowthrower.
Neveruseyour handsto clearaclogged chuteassembly.Shutoff engine
and remainbehind handles until all movingpartshavestoppedbefore
usingthe clean-outtool to clearthe chuteassembly.
TirePressure
Underany circumstance do not exceedmanufacturer'srecommended p si.
Equal t ire pressureshouldbe maintained at all times. Excessive pressure
when seatingbeadsmaycausetireldm assemblyto burstwith force
sufficient to causeseriousinjury. Referto sidewall of tire for recommended
pressure.
Thetiresareover-inflated forshippingpurposes. Check t he tire pressure b efore
operatingthesnowthrower.Refertothe tire sidewall for tire manufacturer's
recommended p sianddeflate(orinflate) t he tiresasnecessary.
NOTE: Equal t ire pressure i sto bemaintained at all timesforperformance purposes.
Adjustments
Skid Shoes
The snow thrower skid shoes a re adjusted u pward a tthefactory f orshipping
purposes. Adjust t hem downward, ifdesired, prior tooperating t hesnow thrower.
It is notrecommended t hat you operate this snowthrower on gravelas
it caneasilypickup andthrow loose gravel,causing personalinjuryor
damageto the snowthrower andsurroundingproperty.
Forclose snowremoval o n asmoothsurface, r aiseskidshoes higheronthe
augerhousing.Refer t o Figure 13.
Useamiddleor lowerpositionwhenthe areato becleared isuneven, s uch as
agraveldriveway.
NOTE: Ifyouchoose to operatethe snowthroweron agravelsurface, keep
the skidshoes inpositionformaximum clearance b etweenthe groundand
the shave plate.
Toadjustthe skidshoes:
1.
Loosen the four hexnuts (two oneachside)andcarriage bolts.Moveskid
shoes to desired position.SeeFigure13.
2.
Makecertainthe entirebottomsurface of skidshoeisagainst t he groundto
avoidunevenwearon the skidshoes.
