Using Garmin Training Center
Use the USB cable from the
product box to connect your Edge
to your computer. From the Start
menu, open Garmin Training
Center. For help using Garmin
Training Center, click the Help
menu and select Contents, or
press F1 on your keyboard.

Caring for the Edge

The Edge is constructed of high
quality materials and does not
require user maintenance other
than cleaning. Clean the unit
and the heart rate monitor using
a cloth dampened with a mild
detergent solution and then wipe
dry. Avoid chemical cleaners and
solvents that may damage plastic
components.

Storage
Do not store the Edge where
prolonged exposure to
temperature extremes may occur
(such as in the trunk of a car),
as permanent damage may
result. User information, such as
workout history, locations, and
tracks, is retained indefinitely
in the unit's memory without
the need for external power.
It is always a good practice to
back up important user data
by manually recording it or
downloading it to a personal
computer. Software for the Edge
is included in the product box.
