AugerControl
Located onthe upperhandle,the augercontrolhandleisusedto engage and
disengage d riveto the auger.Squeeze t he control h andleagainst t he upperhandle
to engage the auger;release it to disengage.
ChuteAssembly
Rotatethe discharge c huteto the left or right usingthe controlhandle. T hepitch
of thedischarge chutecontrols the angleat whichthe snowisthrown.Loosen the
wingknobon the side of the discharge chutebefore pivotingthe discharge c hute
upwardor downward.Retighten the knoboncethe desiredpositionhasbeen
achieved.
Before Starting the Engine
Read,understandandfollow all the instructions a ndwarnings onthe
machineand inthis manualbeforeoperating.
Starting The Engine
Alwayskeepbandsandfeet clear of moving parts.Donot usea pressurized
starting fluid. Vaporsareflammable.
ShavePlate
Theshave platemaintains contactwith the pavement a sthe snowthroweris
propelled, a llowingsnowclose to the pavement's s urface to bedischarged.
ElectricStarter Outlet
Requires t he useof athree-prongoutdoorextension cordanda 120V powersource/
wall outlet.
Toavoidcarbonmonoxidepoisoning, makesurethe engine isoutdoors in a
well-ventilated area.
1. Makecertainboththe augercontrolisin thedisengaged (released) p osition.
2. Insertignitionkeyinto slot.Makesureit snapsinto place. D onot attemptto
turn the key.SeeFigure 10.
ElectricStarter Button
Pressing t he electricstarterbuttonengages t he engine'selectricstarterwhen
pluggedinto a 120V powersource.
Oil Fill/Dipstick
Engine oil levelcanbechecked a ndoil addedthroughtheoil fill.
Oil Drain
Engine oil canbedrainedthroughtheoil drain.
Muffler
Engine exhaust exits the engine viathe muffler.
