d Hold the quilting foot in place with your right
hand, and then tighten the presser foot holder
screw using the enclosed screwdriver in your
left hand.
CAUTION
● Be sure to securely tighten the screw with the
enclosed screwdriver, otherwise the needle
may touch the presser foot, causing it to bend
or break.
e Slide the feed dog position switch, located at
the rear of the machine on the base, to the
position shown below to lower the feed dogs.

h Use both hands to stretch the fabric taut, and
then move the fabric to follow the pattern.
Reinforcement stitches are sewn at the
beginning and end of stitching.

• Reverse stitches cannot be sewn when the
feed dogs are lowered.
i After sewing is finished, slide the feed dog
position switch to its original position and turn
the handwheel to raise the feed dogs.
• The feed dogs are normally left raised.
