Board weight: 0.5 kg (1.68 lb) Jumpers and Connectors Connectors on the AIMB-221 motherboard link it to external devices such as hard disk drives and a keyboard. In addition, the board has a number of jumpers that are used to configure your system for your application.
Safety Precautions Warning! Always completely disconnect the power cord from your chassis when- ever you work with the hardware. Do not make connections while the power is on. Sensitive electronic components can be damaged by sud- den power surges. Only experienced electronics personnel should open the PC chassis.
1.9.3 Watchdog timer output (JWDT1) The AIMB-221 contains a watchdog timer that will reset the CPU or send a signal to IRQ11 in the event the CPU stops processing. This feature means the AIMB-221 will recover from a software failure or an EMI problem. The JWDT1 jumper settings con- trol the outcome of what the computer will do in the event the watchdog timer is tripped.
