Skid Shoe
Thesnowthrowerskidshoes areadjustedupwardat the factoryforshipping
purposes. Adjustthemdownward, i f desired, p riorto operatingthe snowthrower.
It isnot recommended t hat you operate this snowthrower on gravelas
it caneasilypickup andthrow loose gravel, c ausing personalinjuryor
damageto the snowthrower and surroundingproperty.
Forclose snowremoval o n asmoothsurface, r aiseskidshoes higheronthe
augerhousingto lowershaveplate.
Whenthe areato becleared isuneven, s uch asagraveldriveway, l owerskid
shoes onthe augerhousing to raisethe shave plate.
flOT£:Ifyouchoose to operatethe snowthroweron agravelsurface, k eepthe skid
shoes in lowestpositionfor maximum clearance b etweenthe groundandthe shave
plate.
Operating asnowthrower equippedwith steel skidshoesmay result

Toadjust the skid shoes

Loosen the four hexnuts (two oneachside)andcarriage bolts.Moveskid
shoes to desired position.SeeFigure 4.

Thechuteclean-out t ool isfastened to the top of the augerhousingwitha
mounting clip andacabletie at the factory.Cutthe cabletie before operatingthe
snowthrower.SeeFigure 5.

Tire Pressure
Theproperinflation pressure isbetween 15 psiand20psi.Check t he tire pressure
periodically andmaintainequalpressure inbothtiresat all times.Excessive
pressure ( above20psi)maycause the wheel(tire/rim)assembly to burstwith
sufficientforceto cause serious injury. D onot over-inflatethetire. Use a manual
pumpor portableelectrictire inflator t o preventover-inflation. N EVER U SE ANAIR
COMPRESSOR.
Over-inflatingthe tire with excessive pressure(above20 psi) maycausethe
tire/rim to burst with sufficient forceto causeseriousinjury.
