ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
Electrical
requirements:
120-volt,
60-Hertz,
individual,
properly
grounded
branch
circuit
protected
by a 15-amp
circuit
breaker
or time-delay
tilse.

GROUNDED.
The
power
cord
of this
appliance
is equipped
with
a three-prong
(grounding)
i_lug
which
mates
with
a standard
three-prong
grotmding
wall
receptacle
to minimize
the
possibility
of electric
shock
hazard
ti'om
this
appliance.
The
customer
should
have
the
wall
receptacle
and
circtfit
checked
bv a qualified
electrician
to make
sm'e
the
receptacle
is properly
grounded
and
has
correct
polarity.
Where
a standard
two-prong
wall
receptacle
is
encotmtered,
it is the
personal
responsibility
and
obligation
of the
customer
to have
it replaced
with
a properly
grotmded
three-prong
wall
receptacle
in accordance
with
the
National
Electrical
Code.
Do
Not,
Under
Any
Circumstances,
Cut Or
Remove
The
Third
(Ground)
Prong
From
The
Power
Cord.
Do not use an extension
cord with this appliance.

CHECK IGNITION
After
installing
the
cooktop,
check
the
ignition
ot
each
bm'ner.
1. Push
in
one
knob
and
turn
to the
I,]TE
position
(180 ° from
OFF).
The
igniter
will
spark
and
the
bm'ner
will light.
2. Afier
the
bm'ner
is lit, turn
the
knob
to HI
and
the
igniter
will stop
sparking.
3. Tm'n
the
knob
to the
OFF
position.
Repeat
this
for
each
bm'ner.
NOTE:
If flames
are
yellow
or too
lo_,
reter
to the
Troubleshooting Tips section in this manual.
