The video-card assembly may be very hot during normal operation. Ensure that it has had sufficient time to cool before you touch it.

To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal

4. Disconnect the primary video-card heat-sink fan cable from the connector on the system board.
5. Remove the primary video-card heat-sink fan cable from the routing guides on the computer base.
6. Loosen the four captive screws that secure the primary video-card heat-sink fan to the computer base.

7. Disconnect the secondary video-card heat-sink fan cable from the connector on the system board.
8. Loosen the three captive screws that secure the secondary video-card heat-sink fan to the computer base.
