An example to change the IP address of the Switch to '10.90.90.90', using a subnet mask of '255.0.0.0':
DXS-3600-32S>enable
DXS-3600-32S#configure terminal
DXS-3600-32S(config)#interface vlan 1
DXS-3600-32S(config-if)#ip address 10.90.90.90 255.0.0.0
DXS-3600-32S(config-if)#end

1 At the CLI command prompt, enter the command 'enable' to enter the Privileged EXEC Mode. Press Enter.
2 Enter the command 'configure terminal' to enter the Global Configuration Mode. Press Enter.
3 Enter the command 'interface vlan 1' to enter the Interface Configuration Mode. Press Enter.
4 Enter the command 'ip address 10.90.90.90 255.0.0.0' to change the IP address and mask. Press Enter.
5 Enter the command 'end' to exit back to the Privileged EXEC Mode.
The Switch can now be configured and accessed through Telnet or the Web-based management.
The Switch's IP address can also automatically be obtained by using the BOOTP or DHCP protocol.

Connecting using SNMP

The switch can be managed with an SNMP-compatible console program. The Simple Network Management Protocol
(SNMP) operates on the Application Layer of the OSI model and is designed specifically for managing and monitoring
network devices. The SNMP agent decodes the incoming SNMP messages and responds to requests with MIB objects
stored in the database. The SNMP agent updates the MIB objects to generate statistics and counters.
D-Link provides a professional network management software package, called D-View 6.0 that uses SNMP to connect,
configure, manage and monitor this switch. The D-View® 6.0 SNMP Network Management System is a software tool
that facilitates the central administration of a network with various SNMP-enabled devices.
