Digital Audio Optical Connections
1. Connect an optical cable between the
OPTICAL DIGITAL AUDIO OUT con-
nector on the STB1000 jack panel and
the digital audio input connector on the
external Digital Audio Amplifi er System.
2. Select the Optical Digital Audio input
source on the amplifi er.
3. If not already done, turn ON the STB/dis-
play panel and external equipment.
4. Access the STB Audio Menu, and set TV
Speaker to "Off."
Component Connections
1. Connect a component cable between the
video (Y, P , P ) and audio (L, R) outputs

on the external equipment and the COM-
PONENT IN Video and Audio jacks on the
STB1000 jack panel. Match the cable/jack
colors.
2. If not already done, turn ON the STB/dis-
play panel and external equipment.
3. Select the component input source on the
STB using the INPUT button on the
Installer Remote or via the STB Input
Menu.
