Operation and Status
Data - Status Screen
System
Device Name
The current name of the TEW-435BRM. This is also the
"hostname" provided to ISPs who request this information.
Firmware Version
The version of the current firmware installed.
Modem
Modem Status
This indicates the status of the ADSL modem component.
DownStream
If connected, displays the speed for the Down Stream (download)
Connection Speed
ADSL Connection.
If connected, displays the speed for the Up Stream (upload)
UpStream
Connection Speed
ADSL Connection.
VPI
This displays the current VPI setting used for the ADSL
connection.
VCI
This displays the current VCI setting used for the ADSL
connection.
Internet
Connection Method
This indicates the current connection method, as set in the Setup
Wizard.
This indicates the current status of the Internet Connection
Internet Connection
Active - Connection exists
Idle - No current connection, but no error has been detected.
This condition normally arises when an idle connection is
automatically terminated.
Failed - The connection was terminated abnormally. This
could be caused by Modem failure, or the loss of the
connection to the ISP's server.
If there is an error, you can click the "Connection Details" button
to find out more information.
This IP Address is allocated by the ISP (Internet Service
Internet IP Address
Provider). If using a dynamic IP address, and no connection
currently exists, this information is unavailable.
Connection Details
Click this button to open a sub-window and view a detailed
description of the current connection. Depending on the type of
connection, a "log" may also be available.
LAN
IP Address
The IP Address of the TEW-435BRM.
Network Mask
The Network Mask (Subnet Mask) for the IP Address above.
This shows the status of the DHCP Server function. The value
DHCP Server
will be "Enabled" or "Disabled".
MAC Address
This shows the MAC Address for the TEW-435BRM, as seen on
the LAN interface.

If using PPPoE (PPP over Ethernet) or PPPoA (PPP over ATM), a screen like the following
example will be displayed when the "Connection Details" button is clicked.

If using an ESS (Extended Service Set, with multiple access
points) this ID is called an ESSID (Extended Service Set
Identifier).
The current region, as set on the Wireless screen.
This shows the Channel currently used, as set on the Wireless
screen.
This indicates whether or not the Wireless Access Point feature is
enabled.
This indicates whether or not the SSID is Broadcast. This setting
is on the Wireless screen.
Click this button to open a sub-window and view a detailed
description of the current connection.
This will open a sub-window, showing all LAN and Wireless
devices currently on the network.
Update the data displayed on screen.

This will show the time of the current connection.
This indicates whether or not the connection is currently
established.
If the connection does not exist, the Connect button can be
