    Overview Overview Introduction The MFGD 2320, BARCO’s 20” 2 megapixel grayscale LCD display, guarantees perfect image quality in medical imaging applications. The display combines a TFT (thin film transistor) liquid crystal display panel structure and a built-in backlight with inverter for a better picture quality.

    How to avoid image retention How to avoid image retention Image retention (image sticking, ghost image) is the phenomenon where an image, or a part of it, seems to be ‘burnt’ in the LCD panel. When you display e.g. a uniform light gray image you distinguish the ghost image in the background.

Over 10 hours operation with the same image content is not recommended. Switching on the display DPMS may decrease the risk of image sticking (image retention).
