The jack should be located so
·
Hold the jack against the pin in the jacking point as illustrated and
wind down the jack foot so that it is pressed flat against the ground.
·
Check again that the jack is mounted correctly according to
illustration and that the foot is positioned vertically under
mounting.
·
Lift the car so that the wheel is free.
·
Remove the wheel studs and lift off the wheel.

Changing wheels

WARNING!
·
Never crawl under the car when it is raised on a jack!
·
The car and the jack should be on a solid horizontal surface.
·
The car original jack should be used for wheel changing.
All other work on the car should be carried out using work-
shop jacks and axle stands under the part of the car which is
raised.
·
Apply the parking brake, put into 1st gear or back up (reverse)
on manual transmission and position P on the automatic
transmission.
·
Put chocks in front of and behind the wheels to remain on the
ground.
·
Use large wooden blocks or large stones.
·
The jack screw should be kept well lubricated.

Fitting
·
Clean the contract surfaces on the wheel and hub.
·
Mount the wheel and tighten the wheel bolts.
·
Lower the car so that the wheels cannot rotate. Tighten the wheel
studs crosswise and in torque steps. Tightening torques: 140 Nm
(14.0 kpm). It is important that they are tightened to the correct
torque. Tightening should be checked with a torque wrench.
·
Fit the hub cap.
·
Screw the jack together before returning it to the cargo compartment.
·
Ensure that the jack and tool kit are properly secured and do not cause
any rattling.
