Interior rearview mirror
Dimming
Normal position
Dimmed position
Bright light from behind could be reflected in
the rearview mirror and dazzle the driver. Use
dimming when disturbed by light from behind.
Automatic dimming*
Bright light from behind is automatically
dimmed by the rearview mirror.
Interior rearview mirror with compass*
The upper left-hand corner of the rearview mir-
ror has an integrated display that shows the
compass direction in which the front of the car
is pointing. Eight different directions are shown
with English abbreviations:
N
(north),
E
SE
S
east),
(east),
(south east),
(south west),
W
(west) and
NW
If the compass is activated then it starts auto-
matically in ignition position II or when the
engine is running. Switch the compass on or
off by pressing the button set into the rear of
the mirror. Use a straightened paper clip for
example. The button is countersunk
approximately 2.5 centimetres in the mirror.

The earth is divided into 15 magnetic zones.
The compass is set for the geographical area
to which the car was delivered. The compass
should be calibrated if the car is moved across
several magnetic zones.

1. Ignition position II.

2. Press and hold the button on the rear of the
mirror for approximately 3 seconds until
ZONE is shown (use a straightened paper
clip for example). The number for the cur-
rent area is shown.
3. Press the button several times until the
number for the required geographic area
(1–15) is shown. After several seconds the
