MaxCommunicator in Microsoft

Office Communicator

You can install MaxCommunicator for OCS and use it as an embedded

application in Office Communicator.

Note: MaxCommunicator for OCS requires a MaxCommunicator

license.

How to use MaxCommunicator is described earlier in this manual. It works

the same in Office Communicator, with a few differences, which are

described in this chapter.

This chapter assumes you know how to use Office Communicator.

Requirements and preparation are the same as for the stand-alone version

of MaxCommunicator. See "Installation" on page 5. In addition,

• Your system must be able to run Microsoft Internet Explorer.

• You must have Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 R2 or higher

installed

Follow these steps on the client machine:

Exit all Windows applications.

Insert the MAXCS 6.5 Update1 Clients CD into the CD ROM drive.

Open the "MaxCommunicator for OCS" folder, and run the Setup

program in that folder, following the step-by-step installation

instructions as they appear on the screen.

Note: Do not install MaxCommunicator for OCS on the same machine as

MaxAgent for OCS. You will not be able to choose which one to

use in Office Communicator.
