Install Adaptec Storage Manager as a software application, as described earlier in this
chapter.
Continue to build, customize, and manage your storage space as described in the rest of
this User's Guide.
Running Adaptec Storage Manager from the CD
Note:
Before you begin, ensure that your system is set up to boot from a CD. Check the system
BIOS to see if the CD drive is listed first in the boot order. For more information, refer to your
system's documentation.
To run Adaptec Storage Manager in bootable-CD mode:

Insert the RAID installation CD into your CD drive, then restart your system.

When prompted, select the language you want, then press Enter.

Review the license information, then press Enter.
The main CD menu opens.

Click Launch Configuration Utility.
Adaptec Storage Manager opens.

In the tool bar, click Create.
The Configuration wizard opens.
