Installation
1.1 Introduction
The plug-in FC-AL drive carrier modules described in this manual has been designed for integration into a SS-1200-
FCAL storage subsystem which utilizes a FC-AL interface with the host computer system.
The SS-1200-FCAL storage subsystem includes an enclosure with front facing drive bays housing up to 12 plug-in
drive carrier modules (see
Figure
1–1). The drive carrier module comprises a hard disk, of 4.55Gb or 9.1Gb
capacity, mounted in a carrier. Each drive bay will house a single 1.6 inch high, 3.5 inch disk drive in its carrier.
