The following table describes the fields in this screen

WAN: Route
WAN
The default WAN connection is "1' as your broadband connection via the WAN port should
always be your preferred method of accessing the WAN. The default priority of the routes is
Traffic Redirect
WAN, Traffic Redirect and then Dial Backup (dial backup does not apply to all ZyXEL
device models):
Dial Backup
You have two choices for an auxiliary connection in the event that your regular WAN
connection goes down. If Dial Backup is preferred to Traffic Redirect, then type "14" in the
Dial Backup Priority (metric) field (and leave the Traffic Redirect Priority (metric) at the
default of "15").
WAN: Traffic Redirect
Active
Select this check box to have the ZyXEL device use traffic redirect if the normal WAN
connection goes down.
Backup
Type the IP address of your backup gateway in dotted decimal notation. The ZyXEL device
Gateway IP
automatically forwards traffic to this IP address if the ZyXEL device's Internet connection
Address
terminates.
