Using the People shutter

The People shutter provides a single location for you to add, delete, and edit
contact names and numbers. You can also dial anyone on your contact list
from the People shutter.
You launch the People shutter by:
• Pressing the shutter label buttons ( ) or shutter label.
• Pressing a programmed key/softkey in the Phone Shutter. For
information on how to program keys, see

The People shutter displays a maximum of six contacts, ordered in the
alphabetical order of the last name.
The People shutter provides the following elements:
• Scroll Buttons (
• Alpha tabs: Use to scroll to the page that contains the contact
whose last name starts with the first letter label on that tab. For
example, if you press the "fgh" tab, the Contact List scrolls to the
contact whose last name starts with "F". Multiple clicks on a tab
scrolls the view to the next letter on the tab. For example, if you
press the "fgh" tab twice in a row, the Contact List scrolls to the
contact whose last name starts with "G".
• New: Use to add a new contact to your contact list
