any messages have been received, the

play them back.
After listening to the messages, you can either erase them as described below, or leave
the tape as is. In the latter case, recording will begin from the position at which the tape
was stopped the next time you use the answering machine. Make sure that enough
tape remains to record all possible messages.
Comments:
If the tape became full while you were out, TAPE END ERROR will appear. If a power failure
occurred, TAPE ERROR may appear. In either case, remove the tape cassette once and then reinsert
it to return the machine to standby mode.
Ifyou receive a call while listening to your incoming messages, the tape ~'illstop automatically>. T o
resume listening to the tape, use the manual tape control ke>'s a s described on the next page.
Erasing received messages
It
is importantto erasereceivedmessagesafteryou listento themto ensurethatthe tapedoes not
become full.
This is
done as follows:
1. Makesurethe reception modeissetto TELor FAX
(press the RECEPTION key).
z. Press the
REC
key, and then press the REW key.
When the tape incompletely rewound, itwill
stop automatically and the machine
will
returnto standby
mode.
