Transmission Options

This section describes various fea-
tures that you can switch on and off
for any particular transmission by fol-
lowing the procedure at the end of
this section.
In addition, if you frequently use a
certain configuration of options, you
can change the default home position
(on or off) of each option.
- Fax Header Print -

When "Fax Header Print" is set to
"ON", the machine adds your stored
Fax Header to each message you send
so it appears on the printed fax at the
other end.
You can store two Fax Headers "indi-
cations" seem strange. May be "...two
Fax Headers:" "First Name" and "Sec-
ond Name".

For example, if you store your depart-
ment name in one and your organiza-
tion name in the other, you could use
the first when sending internal faxes
and the second for external faxes.
Program in advance which Fax Head-
er is printed when you store a desti-
nation into Quick Dials.
Note
❒ If a destination is dialed with the
number keys, "First Name" is
printed.
❒ You can switch this feature on and
off in "General Setting/Adjust-
ment" (⇒ p.125). Select the setting
that you normally use or change
the setting in "Transmission Op-
tions" if necessary.
❒ The Fax Header can be pro-
grammed in "programming". ⇒

❒ You can set whether you print
"date", "transmitter origin", "file
number" and "page number" with
Fax Header in "User Parameters".

Important
❒ In the USA, this must contain the
telephone number of the line your
machine is connected to. It will be
printed on the header of every
page you send. Required in the
USA.
Note
❒ In the USA, law requires that your
fax number be included in the Fax
Header. Register the fax number
and switch on Fax Header Print
with the User Parameters.
