The recoilstarterhandleis usedto startthe engine.
GAS CAP
Removethe gascap to add fuel.
KEY
The key is a safetydevice.It mustbe fully insertedin
order for theengine to start. Removethe key whenthe
snow throweris not in use.
Activatingthe chokecontrolclosesthe chokeplateon carburetorand
aids in startin_ .,lengine The choke lever slides between the R UN i _I
and CHOKE I"' I positions.

theengine'scarburetorto aid in cold-weatherstarting.
NOTE: Do notturn the key in an attemptto startthe

Whenengaged,the augerrotationdrawssnow intothe augerhousing
and throwsit out the dischargechute.Rubberpaddleson the auger
also aid in propellingthe snowthroweras they comein contactwith
the pavement.
