Shift Lever
Theshiftleverislocatedonthe right sideofthe handle panel.Place the shift
leverinto anyof eightpositions to control t he directionoftravelandground
speed.
Forward
Your snow thrower h as six forward (F)speeds. Position o ne (1)istheslowest
and position six(6)isthe fastest.

Key
Thekeyisasafetydevice.It mustbefully inserted i n
orderfor the engine to start. Remove t he keywhenthe
snowthrowerisnot in use.
NOTE: Donot turn the ignition keyinanattempt tostart
the engine.Doingsomaycause it to break.
ChokeControl
Thechokecontrol i sfoundonthe rearof theengineandis
activatedbyturningthe rotarychokeknobto the CHOKE
position. A ctivating the chokecontrol c loses the choke
plateonthe carburetor a ndaidsinstartingthe engine.
ChuteAssembly

Snow drawninto the augerhousing isdischarged out the chuteassembly.
Thedrift cuttersaredesigned for useindeepsnow. T heiruseisoptional f or normal
snowconditions. M aneuver the snowthrowersothatthe cutterspenetrate a high
standingsnowdrift to assist s nowfalling into the augers forthrowing.
