Never COOK Jirect,
Dnme gross
Alwa_ s use COOKware.
Always place the pan in the center of
the surface unit you are cooking on.
For Models With a Glass Cooktop
The glass cooktop features heating units
beneath a smooth glass surface.
NOTE:A slight odor is normal when a new
cooktop is used for the first time. It is caused
by the heating of new parts and insulating
materials and will disappear in a short time.
The surface unit may cycle on and off to
maintain your selected control setting.
It is safe to place hot cookware on the glass
surface even when the cooktop is cool.
Evenafter the surface units are turned off, the
glass cooktop retains enough heat to continue
cooking. To avoid overcooking, remove pans
from the surface units when the food is cooked.
Avoid placing anything on the surface unit until
it has cooled completely.
Water stains (mineral deposits) are
removable using the cleaning cream or full-
strength white vinegar.
Do not slide cookware across the cooktop because
it can scratch the glass-the glassis scratch-resistant
not scratchproof.
Useof window cleaner may leave an
iridescent film on the cooktop. The cleaning
cream will remove this film.
Don't store heavy items above the cooktop. If
they drop onto the cooktop, they can cause
damage.
Do not use the surface as a cutting board.
Use flat-bottomed
pans.
Use a griddle.
Use a flat-bottomed
wok.
What
Type of Pans Are Required?
You must use a ferrous pan when using the
induction coils on this range. The warming
zone is not an induction coil and will work with
any type of cookware. You can verify your
pan is ferrous if a magnet sticks to it. Quality
cookware with heavy bottoms made of cast
iron, magnetic stainless steel and enameled
steel work best. For best results, use pans
with flat bottoms. Woks that do not have flat
bottoms in close contact to the glass surface
will not work. Some pans are made especially
for induction cooking.
Placeonly dry pans on the surface elements.
Do not place lids on the surface elements,
particularly wet lids.Wet pans and lids may
stick to the surface when cool.
