Normal speed recording

Using the internal CD player.
During the normal speed recording, you can listen to the re-
cording while you are making it.

Make sure that the recording disc is absolutely free of
scratches and dust particles.

For recording, press REC TYPE (3, 54) twice.
The
label starts blinking. After 3 seconds the
display shows the remaining CD-R(W) recording time on the
left and total time of source on the right. (every 2 seconds
is displayed) Both selection indicators
are lit.

Press PROGRAM (20, 62) to select one or more tracks for
recording (see PROGRAMMING page 18):
-
rotate the MULTI JOG (21) key to the required track
number, then press PUSH ENTER (21).
or:
-
directly select the track number via the 10-keypad (41)
on the remote control, then press ENTER (53).

To start recording, press 0 0 0 0 0 REC (4, 50).

or program is copied at normal speed. The recording
time left will appear.
To check the elapsed recording time, press DISPLAY (17,
42). This can be done during recording.
Recording will stop automatically.

To stop recording, press 9 9 9 9 9 STOP (5, 48).
If 9 STOP (5, 48) was pressed within 3 seconds after 0 REC
(4, 50), no recording will take place.
After recording, the display shows

no music information is lost.
Note:
In this recording mode, the Pause function is not operative.
Important:

If you want to play the recorded CDR disc on any regu-
lar CD player, it must first be finalized. (See FINALIZ-
ING/UNFINALIZING page 14.)

Sound might be distorted when the recording levels are
set more than 0 dB for digital and –12dB for analog re-
cording.
-
The factory settings are 0 dB for digital and –12dB for
analog recording.
-
The rec level will remain for next time.
Please check the rec level before start recording.
-
Finalized CD-RW discs play only on CD-RW compatible
CD players.
-
If a track is protected by SCMS, the track will be re-
corded by analog.
