8. TRANSPORTING
Transporting on a vehicle
When transporting the outboard motor
on a vehicle, perform following.
1. Remove the engine cover (see page 7 1).

BOLTS

2. Remove the four tightening bolts
and the three hooks, then remove
the timing belt cover.
LIFTING EYE

STARTER
PULLEY
3. Install the lifting eye (optional part)
in the center of the starter pulley
and tighten securely.
B If the lifting eye is
not securely installed in the
starter pulley, the outboard motor
could fall from the hoist, causing
serious injury.
Be
sure
the
lifting eye is securely
installed before hoisting the outboard
motor.
