Playing back a tape
Recording data
Recording data is your camcorder's information when you have recorded. In the
recording mode, the recording data will not be display(-,&
When you use data code function, bars (......... and --:--:--) appear if:
-A blank section of the tape is being played back.
-The tape is unreadable due to tape damage or noise.
The tape was recorded by a camcorder without the date and time set.
Data code
When you connect your canrcorder to the TV, the data codo appears on the TV screen.
Remaining battery time indicator during playback
The indicator indicates the approximate continuous playback time. The indicator may
not be correct, depending on the conditions in which you are recording. When you close i
the LCD panel and open it again, it takes about 1 minute for the correct remaining
battery time to be displayed. _"

To operate video control buttons, set the POWER switch to VCR.
To view a still image (playback pause)
Pross n during playback. To rosumo playback, pross n or IP '_.
To advance the tape
Pross _1_ in tho stop nrode. To resumo normal playback, press IP '_.
To rewind the tape
Pross _ in tho stop mode. To rosumo normal playback, pross IP '_.
To change the playback direction
Press _ on the Remote Commander during playback to reverse the playback direction.
To resume normal playback, press IP '_.
To locate a scene monitoring the picture (picture search)
Keep prossing _ or _ during playback. To rosumo normal playback, roleaso tho
button.
To monitor the high-speed picture while advancing or
rewinding the tape (skip scan)
Keop pressing _ whilo rowinding or _ whilo advancing tho tapo. To rosumo
rewinding or advancing, roleaso the button.
To view the picture at slow speed (slow playback)
Pross I_ on the Romote Commander
during playback. For slow playback in the rev€,rs€,
direction, press %, then press I_ on the Remote Commander. To resume normal
playback, press _.
To view the
picture
at double speed
Pross ×2 on the Remoto Commandor during playback. For doublo spoed playback in the
reverse direction, press <, then press x2 on the Remote Commander. To resume
normal playback, press _.
To view the
picture frame-by-frame
Press II1_ on the Romote Commander
in the playback pause nrode. For frame-bv-framo
playback in the reverse direction, press _111. To resume normal playback, press _.
To search the last scene recorded (END SEARCH)
Pross END SEARCH in the stop mode. The last 5 seconds of the recorded section plays
back and stops.
