Editing
Here's how to use this VCR as the playback VCR and
another VCR as the recording VCR.

Before you start:
• Select the EDIT position on the PICTURE switch.
If your recording VCR has an editing function, it should
also be selected to improve reception.
• Press DISPLAY to TURN OFF the display.

Turn on the recording VCR and insert a blank
cassette with a safety tab in place.
Insert a source cassette into the playback VCR.
Locate the playback start polnt and select the
playback pause mode on the playback VCR,
Locate the recording start point and select the
recording pause mode on the recording VCR.
Press II PAUSE on both VCRs.
For best results, press II PAUSE on the playback VCR
just before pressing II PAUSE on the recording VCR.
When you've finished editing, press • STOP on both
VCRs.
NOTES:
• If yourrecording VCR isa stereounit, make
connections with thesuppliedaudio/video connecting
cable.
• If yourrecording VCR isa monauralunit,make
connections usingthe VMC-910MS/920MS cable
(notsupplied).
• Whenconnecting the VCRs, do notconnectboth
LINE IN and LINE OUT jackson yourVCRs
simultaneously. Doingso may cause a humming
noise.
• Tapes recordedusingthe APC function are played
backnormallyon VCRs thatdo not havethe APC
function.
• If you havethe PICTURE switchon the VCR set to
EDIT, the APC functiondoes not operatewhen
playingbacka tape butdoes operatewhen recording.
When you are editingtapes (dubbing)usingthis unit
as eitherthe recording VCR or the playbackVCR,
usethe EDIT setting.
