9.2 VERTICAL MODES

NOTE: Glidepath (GP) Mode is available only in installations that include an
external GPS navigation source (e.g. GTN or GNS Series). Glideslope (GS) Mode is
available only in installations that include an external ILS receiver (e.g. SL30. GTN
Series, or GNS Series).
NOTE: Arming Glidepath (GP) Mode also arms GPS Mode, and arming Glideslope
(GS) Mode also arms LOC Mode.

* ALTS is armed automatically when PIT or VS is active, and under VNAV when the Selected Altitude
is to be captured instead of the VNAV Target Altitude.
** ALTV is armed automatically under VNAV when the VNAV Target Altitude is to be captured instead
of the Selected Altitude.
