1, From the DVD/VCR's main menu,use the remote's arrow buttons to highfght Timers, a nd press
the OK burton.
Tip:Y0u can also accessthe Timers menu by pressir_gthe TIMEI*GLII)E button on the remote

2. SinceAddTimer is highfghte& just press OK (theTimer Setup screen appears).
3. If you want to give the Timer a name,highlght Name and press the INFO button (the on-screen
keyboard appears--folow the on-screen instructions to namethe timer).When finished entering
the name,make sure you press the right arrow button to highlight Doneand press OK.
4. Pressthe down arrow button to highlight the Channel f ield and use the number buttons on the
remote to enter the channel number,and press QK (highfght moves to Day).
To enter aVideo input ChanneJ,press the right arrow button.
5. Use the number buttons to enter month and day.Tochangethe frequency (once, daily,weeld};
etc.), ptess the right arrow button,When finishe& press OK (highlight movesto StartTime).
& Use the number buttons to enter the time you want to start recording. Pressthe right arrow
button to changethe a,m,/p,m,setting.When finished, press OK (the highlight moves to StopTime).
7. Use the number buttons to enter the time you want the DVD/VCR to stop recording. Pressthe
right arrow burton to changea,m./p,m,setting.When finished, press OK (the highlight movesto
Destination).
8+ With Destinationhighlighted--press the right arrow button to switch between Tape(to record
to theVCR) and Disc(to record to a DVD+R or DVD+RW disc),When finished, press OK (the
highlight moves to Recording Quality).
9+ You can changethe quality of the recording by pressingthe right arrow button.The better the
quali_ T , the more spacethe recording takes up on the disc or tape--(go to page52 for more
information). PressOK to confirm the quality recording setting.
I O.When you're finishe& make sure KeepTimer is highlighted and press OK.
Notes: The DVD/VCI's dock must be set in order for Ti_er [_ecordir_gsto work property.

4, Pressthe right arrow button to choose whether you want to copy Discto Tapeor a Tapeto Disc,
Press OK, the highlight moves to Day,
5, Use the number buttons to enter month and day, W hen finished, press OK (highlight movesto
StartTime).
& Use the number buttons to enter the time you want to start recording. Pressthe right arrow
button to changethe a.m./p,m,setting.When finished, press OK (the highlight moves to Quality),
7. To changethe quality, press the right arrow button,
8. When you're satisfied with the settings, press the arrow down button to highlight KeepTimer,and
press OK, Hake sure the disc is in the disc tray and the tape is in theVCR deck before the Timer
Recording is ready to start.
