Before requesting service
make the following checks

Power
No power.
• Insert the AC power supply cord and system cable securely
The unit is automatically
•The Sleep turner was working and had leached the set time hrnit
switched
to the standby
mode.
Unresponsive
or inoperable
function
No response when any buttons
are pressed.
No response when remote
control buttons are pressed.
Cannot play DVD's.
No picture or sound.
You have forgotten your ratings

Reset all the settings to Factory
Preset
• This unit cannot play discs other than the ones hsted m these operating instructions
• The umt may not be operahng properly due to hghtnmg, static electricity or some other external
factor Turn the unit off and then back to ON Alternatively, turn the unit off, disconnect the AC
power supply cord, and then reconnect tt
• Condensatton
has formed
Wait 1 to 2 hours for it to evaporate
• Check that the batteries ate installed correctly
• The batteries are depleted
Replace them with new ones
• Aim the remote control at the remote control s_gnal sensor and operate
• CD Mode is on Press [SHIFT]+[CD
MODE] to turn CD Mode off
• Check the wdeo or audio connection
• Check the power or input sethng of the connected equipment
• Check that the DVD-RAM has something
recorded on it
• While stopped and 'DVD/CD" Is the source, press and hold re] on the mare unit and [>10] on
the remote control unttl "lnltlahzed" disappears from the telewslon
Turn the untt off and on again
All settings wtll return to the default values

isn't recorded, two numbers will normally be shown
• Thts ts normal on DVD-Audto
• If you change the volume or sound fleldtqual_ty setting during ADVANCED DiSC REVIEW, the
functton continues without the on-screen display Press [ADVANCED DISC REVIEW] again to
cancel the function

Subtitle
Subtitle position is wrong,

• Display the subtitles
• Clear the subtitles
• You cannot add markers with DVD-RAM
• If the disc's elapsed play time doesn't appear on the unit's display, you cannot add markers
• The end of an _tem becomes point B when it is reached
• A-B _epeat is canceled when you p_ess [QUICK REPLAY]
• No_se may occur when playing WMA
• Some audio effects do not work or have less effect with some discs
• Multi Re-master (HTLHT_0 only) and Dolby Pro Logic li do not work if you have changed the play speed
• An AC power supply cord or fluorescent
light is near the subwoofer
Keep other appliances
and
cables away from the subwoofer
• The_e may be a pause in sound when you change the play speed
