/ OFF SWITCH
Pressinto theON positionwhenstartingthe engineand willshut off
the enginewhenmovedintothe OFF position.
RECOIL STARTER HANDLE
This handleis usedto manuallystartthe engine.
ELECTRIC STARTER BUTTON
Pressingthe electricstarterbuttonengagesthe engine'selectric
starterwhenpluggedintoa 120Vpowersource.
ELECTRIC STARTER OUTLET
Requiresthe useof a three-prongoutdoorextensioncord(included)
and a 120Vpowersource/walloutlet.

AUGERS
Whenengaged,the augersrotateand drawsnow intothe auger
housing.
CHUTE ASSEMBLY
Snowdrawninto theauger housingis dischargedout the chute
assembly.
GAS CAP
Unthreadthe gascap to add gasolineto the fuel tank.
AUGER CONTROL

Theaugercontrol is locatedon the left handle.Squeezethecontrol
grip againstthe handleto engagetheaugersand start snowthrowing
action.Releaseto stop.
TWO-WAY CHUTE CONTROL
TM
The distancesnow is throwncanbe changedby adjustingthe angle
of the chute assembly.Movethe chutecontrolforwardto decreasethe
distance,towardthe rearto increase.
CHUTE DIRECTIONAL CONTROL
The chutedirectionalcontrol is locatedon the left side of the snow
thrower.
• Tochangethedirectionin whichsnow isthrown,crankclockwiseto
dischargetothe left andcounterclockwise t o discharge to the right.
SKID SHOES
Positionthe skid shoesbasedon surfaceconditions.Adjustupward
for hard-packedsnow.Adjustdownwardwhenoperatingon gravelor
crushedrock surfaces.
WHEEL STEERING CONTROLS
The left and rightwheelsteeringcontrolsare locatedon the underside
of the handles.Squeezethe rightcontrol to turn right; squeeze the left
controlto turnleft.
NOTE:Operatethe snowthrowerin openareasuntil youare familiar
with these controls.
HEADLIGHT
The headlightis locatedon top of the handlepanel.It maybe adjusted
bylooseningthe screwson eachside of the lighthousing,pivotingthe
lightup or down,and retightening the screws.
WHEEL DRIVE CONTROL/AUGER CONTROL
LOCK
Thewheeldrivecontrol is locatedon the righthandle.Squeezethe
controlgrip againstthe handleto engagethewheeldrive. Release
to stop.TheWheeldrivecontrolalso locksthe augercontrolso you
canoperatethe chute directionalcontrolwithoutinterrupting the snow
throwingprocess.If theauger controlis engagedsimultaneously with
the wheeldrivecontrol,the operatorcan releasetheauger control(on
the left handle)and the augerswill remainengaged.Releaseboth
controlsto stop the augersand wheeldrive.
DRIFT CUTTERS
The drift cuttersare designedfor use in deep snow.Theiruse is
optionalfor normalsnowconditions.
CLEAN-OUT TOOL
The chuteclean-outtool is conveniently fastenedto the rearof the
auger housingwith a mountingclip. Shouldsnowand ice become
lodgedin the chute assemblyduringoperation,proceedas followsto
safelycleanthe chuteassemblyand chuteopening.
