Changing the needles
Pull out the mains plug. Lower the
sewing foot. Turn the hand wheel as
shown by the arrow to set the needle
bar in its highest position. Hold the
needle to be changed with the twee
zers. Loosen set screws A, B or C with
the small screwdriver. Remove the
needle from the needle holder by pul
ling it downwards.
Inserting the needles
The flat side of the needle shank must
face the rear. Using the tweezers, push
the needle up into the needle holder as
far as it will go, hold it there and tigh
ten the corresponding needle set
screw.
Notes:
The following needles are used on
these machines: System 130/705 H
(75 to 90)
Though the correct needle size
depends on the material and the thread
size used, we recommend needle sizes
75 to 90,
A wrongly inserted needle causes
thread breakage and skipped stitches.
Changing the knives
Knives are available as spare parts.
Pull out the mains plug.
Change lower knife 29, see page 41.
Change upper knife 14, see page 42.
