For best dishwashing results, follow these loading guidelines. Features and appearance of racks and silverware
baskets may vary from your model.
Upper Rack
Althoughthe upperrock isprimarilyfor glosses, c ups
and saucers, p otsand punscon be placed
in this rockfor effectivecleaning. C upsand glasses
fit bestalongthe sides. T hisisalsoa secureplacefor
dishwasher-safe plastics.
Theupperrack isadjustable(onsomemodels
to add flexibilityin loadingyour dishwasher.
To lower,pushtabs in and lowerrack.Toraise
just pullup on rack untilit snaps.
Theutilityshelf(onsomemodels) may be placed
in the up or downpositionto odd flexibility. A wine
glassholder(onsomemodels) secureswineglasses
for bestwashability. B ecause wineglassescomein
varioussizes, a fter loading,slowlypush
in the rackto makesurethey will clearthe top
of the dishwasher.
Theupperrack isgoodfor all kindsof odd-shaped
utensils. S aucepans, mixingbowlsand other items
shouldbe placedface down.

Checkto makesure
that no itemswill block
rotation of the wash

Lower Rack

cookware.Largeitemssuchas broilerpansand
bakingracksshouldgo along the le_hand side.
Load platters, p ots and bowlsalongthe sides,in
cornersor in the back.Thesoiledsideof itemsshould
face the centerof the rack.if necessary, oversized
glassesand mugscan be placedin the lowerrackto
maximizeloadingflexibility.
Also,be carefulnot to let a portionof an item such
as a potor dishhandleextendthroughthe bottom
rack.Thiscouldblockthe wash arm and causepoor
washingresults.
Fold-down tines(onsome models) provideflexibility
for extra-large and hard-to-fititems. T hetinesmay
be left in the up positionor foldeddownto customize
the lowerrack.

knifehandles up to protect your hands. Place spoons
in the basket with handles down. Hix knives,forks
and spoons so they don't nest together. Distribute

spoonsand lidsfrom smallcontainersshouldgo
in the bottom ofthe silverwarebasketwith the
silverwareon top.
Thelidsof both endand middlebaskets
(onsomemodels)canbe closedto containsmall
items.Longitemscan be placedon the utilityshelfin
the upperrack.
The accessory basket (on some models) can
hold small items such as baby bottle nipples,
plastic lids, or corn cob holders.
