CLICKS, POPS,
CRACKS and CHIRPS
• You may hear cracking or poplfing sounds
when tile refl'igerator is first plugged in.
This hal)pens as tile refrigerator cools to
tile correct temperature.
• Electronic dampers click open and closed to
provide optimal cooling and energy savings.
• Tile compressor may cause a clicking or
chirping so/md when attempting to restart
(this could take up to 5 minutes).
• Tile electronic control board may cause
a clicking so/md when relays actiw_te to
control refl'igerator components.
• Expansion and contraction of cooling coils
during and after deti'ost can cause a cracking
or I)oI)ping SO/lIld.
• After an icemaking cycle, you may hear the
ice cubes dropping into the ice bucket.
WHIRl
You mav hear tile rims spinning at high
speeds. This hal)pens when the refi'igerator
is fi_t plugged in, when the doors are
opened fl'equently or when a large aillO/lilt
of tood is added to tile reti'igerator or
freezer compartments. The rims are helping
to maintain tile correct temperatures.
If either door is open fl)r over 3 minutes, you
