Securing Blade D epth
C ontrol C able
Unwrapthe bladedepthcontrolcableandrouteit upthe rightside of the handle.
1. Pullthe depthcontrolleverout of the first positionof thedepthcontrol
bracket.
2. Pushleverall the wayforward.
3. Release l everinto lastpositionof bracket.
4. Hook the Zendofthe depthcontrolcableinto the holeonthe depthcontrol
leverasshownin Figure 4.
Starter Rope
1. Locate the ropeguideandwingknobfoundinthe manualbag.Usingthe
wingknob,secure but donot tighten the ropeguideto the right sideof the
upperhandle asshownin Figure 5.
2. Stand behindthe edgerandhold the bladecontrolagainst t he upperhandle.
3. Gentlypullthe starterropeout of theengine.
TheedgerbladeWiLLrotatewhen the starter ropeis pulled.
flOTE: T he starterropewill not pullout of the engineunless the blade
control ( referto Figure 5) isdepressed a gainstthe upperhandle.
4. Slipthe starterropethroughthe top of the ropeguide. T ightenthe wing
knobwhichsecures the ropeguideto the upperhandle.

1. Theangleof the edgerbladecanbeadjustedbyplacingthe bevel
adjustment l everinoneof threepositions foredging.SeeFigure 6.
