PreparingThe Engine
Forengines storedover30 days:
Topreventgumfromforminginfuel system or on carburetor p arts,run
engineuntil it stopsfrom lackof fuelor addagasoline additiveto the gas
inthe tank.If youuseagasadditive,runthe engine for several minutesto
circulate theadditivethroughthe carburetor--after whichthe engineand
fuelcanbestoredup to 24months.
Whileengineisstill warm,change the oil.
Clean engineof surface debris.
PreparingThelawn mower
Clean a nd lubricate e dger thoroughly a sdescribed inthelubrication
instructions.
Donot usea pressure w asher or gardenhoseto cleanyourunit.
Coat e dgerbladewith chassis g rease to prevent r usting.

suchasfertilizer.
