Shooting Issues
Problem _I Cause/Solution
Cannot set to
shooting mode,
No picture can be

appear in pictures
shot using flash.
Disconnect the HDMI cable or USB cable,
When camera is in playback mode, press the [] button,
shutter release button or • (_11_movie record) button.
When menus are displayed, press the MENUbutton,
Battery is exhausted.
When the scene mode is Night portrait or [] (Backlighting)
with HDR set to Off, raise the flash.
When flash lamp flashes, flash is charging,
In some shooting conditions, such as when the subject moves or
the subject is dark or low in contrast, the second shot may not be
taken or the 3D picture may not be saved,
Subject is too close to the camera, Try shooting with _ (macro
close up) in the focus mode, or Scene auto selector or
Close-up scene mode.
The intended subject is one with which autofocus does not
perform well,
Set AF assist in the setup menu to Auto,
Subject is not in focus area when shutter release button is
pressed halfway,
The focus mode is set to MF (manual focus).
Turn camera offand then on again,
Colored stripes may appear when shooting subjects with
repeating patterns (such as window blinds); this is not a
malfu notion.
The colored stripes will not appear in captured images or
recorded movies, However, when using Continuous H: 120 fps
or HS 120 fps (640x480), the colored stripes may be seen in
the captured images and recorded movies,
Use flash,
Use vibration reduction or motion detection.
Use BSS (Best Shot Selector),
Use a tripod to stabilize the camera (use with the sdhtimer for
better results).
Flash is reflecting off particles in air, Set the flash to I_) (off),
