Reset file numbering cannot be applied when the folder 110,
number reaches 999 and there are images in the folder. Change _'Bg0
the memory card, or format the internal memory/memory card.
Battery tern perature is high. Turn off camera, and allow battery to
cool down before resuming use. After the lamp flashes for three

minutes, the camera turns off automatically, but you can also
press the power switch to turn it off manually.
When functions such as movie recording or sending images

temperature rises, is used in a location with a high ambient temperature, the
camera temperature may rise. This is not a malfunction.
• Electronicall ' Controlled Cameras

extremely rare instances,
unusual characters may appear on the monitor and
the camera may
stop functioning.
In most cases, this
phenomenon
is caused
by
a
strong
external static:
charge.
Turn the camera
off,
remove and
replace the battery,
then turn the camera on
again.
Note that
disconnecting
the power source as
described above may result in the loss
of any
data not recorded on the internal
memory or memory card at the time the
problem
occurred. Data
already
recorded
is not affected. In the event of continued
malfunction,
contact your retailer or
Nikon-authorized service
representative.
