Recovering from a cartridge error

When the display shows one of

error occurred:
REINSERT CARD
ILLEGAL CARD
REMOVE CARD
CARDMEMORY OVERFLOW
A card error occurs if you insert or remove a font cartridge
the printer is on line or when the printer's memory contains data.
You cannot use
