Changing the operative direction
The operative direction of controls is factory-set

if you need to mount lhe rotary commander on
the right hand side of the steering column, you
can reverse the operative direction.
Press _ for 2 seconds while
pushing the VOL control.
Tip
You can also change the operative direction of these
controls with the unit (page 18).
You can adjust the bass, treble, balance, fader,
and subwoofer volume.

Select the item you want to adjust by
pressing _ repeatedly.
Each time you press _, _he item
changes as lbllows:
BAS (bass) --_ TRE (treble) --_
BAL (left-right) --* FAD (front-rear) --_
SUB (subwoofer volume)

Adjust the selected item by pressing
the volume +/- button.
When adjusting with |he card remote
commander, press _, then press
_(+)or _().
When adjusting with |he rotary commander,
press _ and rotate lhe VOL conlroh
Note
Adjust within 3 seconds after selecting the item.
Quicklyattenuating the
sound
Press _.
After "AT'I_ON" momentarily appears,
"ART" appears in the display.
"ib restore the previous volume level, press
again.
Tip
When the interface cable of a car telephone is
connected to the ATT lead, the unitdecreases the
volume automatically when a telephone call comes in
(TelephoneATT function).
