Sound is distorted or is recorded at l ower levels.
-When recording near loud sounds (such as fireworks, shows or c oncerts), sound may become
distorted or i tmay not be recorded at t he a ctual levels. Activate the m icrophone attenuator
(_ 153) or a djust the a udio recording level manually (CC180).
The picture is displayed correctly but there is no sound from t he b uilt-in speaker.
-Speaker volume is turned off. Adjust the v olume.
-Ifthe S TV-250N Stereo Video Cable is connected to the c amcorder, disconnect it.
-The AV t erminal is set to headphone output. Set _ _ [AV/Headphones] to [AV].
Memory Card and Accessories
Cannot insertthe memory card.
- The memory cardwas not facing the correct direction. Turn the memory card over and insert
it.
Cannot record on the memory card.
- The memory card is full. Deletesome recordings (CC156, 102) to free some space or replace
the memory card.
- Initialize the memory card (C[_I40) when you use it with the camcorder for the first time.
- The LOCK switch on the memory card is set to prevent accidental erasure. Changethe posi-
tion of the LOCKswitch.
- A compatible memory card must be used to be able to record movieson a memory card
(CC137).
- The folder and file numbers have reachedtheir maximum value. Set _ _ [Photo Num-
bering] to [Reset[ and insert a new memory card.
The wireless controller will not work.
- Set _ _} [WirelessRemoteControl] to [On].
- Replacethe battery of the wireless controller.
Cannot upload files wirelessly using an Eye-Fi card.
- _ _ [Eye-FiCommunication[ is set to [Off] (_ appearsonscreen). Set it to [Auto-
matic].
- Openingthe LCD panelmay help when the wireless connection is not strong enough.
- If certain conditions occur while uploading files, such as the camcorder becoming too hot or
the wireless connection getting too weak, the camcorder may stop the wireless upload ('_
appears onscreen).Turn off the camcerder and let it cool down or move to a location with a
stronger wireless signal.
