When playing scenes/a slideshow linked to external audio, the v ideo playback is not correctly
linked to the e xternal player.
-The volume of e xternal player may be too l ow. Try increasing the v olume of t he e xternal
player.
Cannot divide scenes
-You cannot divide scenes recorded or e dited using another device.
-The memory is full. Delete some recordings (CC156, 102) or i nitialize the m emory (_ 40) to
free some space.
Cannot copy scenes/photos
-You may not be able to copy scenes/photos recorded or e dited using another device.
Cannot mark individual scenes/photos inthe i ndex screen with acheckmark ,/
-You cannot select more than 100 scenes/photos individually. Reduce the n umber of s elected
scenes/photos or u se the [ Select All] option.
Indicators andOnscreen Displays
lights up in red.
- Battery pack is exhausted. Replaceor charge the battery pack.
appears on the screen.
- The camcorder cannot communicatewith the battery pack attached so the remaining battery
time cannot be displayed.
r_q lights up in red.
- A memory card error occurred. Turn off the camcorder. Removeand reinsert the memory
card. Initialize the memory card if the display does not change backto normal.
- The memory card is full. Replacethe memory card or delete some recordings (CC156, 102)
to free some space on the memory card.
flashes in red on the screen.
- The camcorder has malfunctioned. Consult a CanonServiceCenter.
Even after stopping recording, the ACCESSindicator does not go off.
- The scene is beingrecorded in the memory. This is not a malfunction.
appears on the screen.
- The camcorder has become hot while in the [Underwater] or [Surface] recording program.
Turn off the camcorder and let it cool down.
The red ON/OFF(CHG)indicator flashes rapidly (_ one flash at 0.5-second
intervals).
- Charging has stopped becausethe compact power adapter or the battery pack is faulty. Con-
sult a CanonService Center.
