Recording Still Images on a Memory Card f_l []
You can record still images with the
PHOTObutton
camcorder, from a tape in the camcorder
Card access
([_
115) or from devices connected via the
indicator

DV terminal or AV terminal (C_ 116).

O Do not turn off the camcorder, disconnect the power source, open the memor
card cover or remove the memory card while the card access indicator is
flashing. Doing so could result in data damage.
O When you are using a SD Memory Card, make sure that the protect switch is
set to allow recording.
O Make sure to insert a memory card with enough remaining capacity.
O The camcorder shuts off when you do not operate it for 5 minutes to save
power. " OAUTO POWEROFF" appears 20 seconds before shutoff. To
continue recording, turn the POWERswitch to OFF and then back to CAMERA.
OWe recommend saving the still images and movies on the memory card to a
computer regularly.

1. Set the camcorder
to CARD CAMERA
mode.
A white focusing frame appears in the center of the screen. The camcorder will focus on
the subject in the center of the screen. To change the focusing point, see Selecting the
Focusing Point ([[_ 117).
2. Press the PHOTO button
halfway.

• 0 and focusing frame turn green when focus is adjusted. The
_.__\_:--_
beep sounds twice. The picture may appear out of focus for a
moment while the camcorder is focusing.
• Focus can be adjusted manually with the focus ring when the
PHOTO button is pressed halfway.
• Exposure is locked.
• When you pressthe PHOTObutton on the wireless controller, recording starts immediately.
