- Youinserted a MultiMedia Card(MMC) into the camcorder. Usea recommended memorycard
(1_[_36).
- If after the messagedisappears, _ / _ appears in red, perform the following: Turn off the
camcorder and removeand reinsert the memory card. If _ / _ turns backto green youcan
resume recording/playback. If the problem persists, save your recordings (1_[] 119) and ini-
tialize the memory card (1_[] 41).
File name error
- The folder and file numbers have reachedtheir maximum value. Set _ _} [Photo Num-
bering] to [Reset]and delete all the photos onthe memorycard ([_[_ 105) or initialize it
(C[3 41).
Initialize only using the camcorder
- There is a problem with the file system that prevents accessingthe selected memory. Initial-
ize the memory with this camcorder ([_[_ 41).
LCDScreen has been dimmed
- Hold D_S_ pressedfor 2 seconds to restorethe LCD screen to its previous brightnessset-
ting.
May not be possible to record movies on this memory card
- Youmay not beable to record movies on a memory card without a Speed Class rating=
Replacethe memorycard with one rated Speed Class 4, 8 or 10.
Mere. Card Number of scenes already at maximum
- The memory cardalready contains the maximum number of scenes (3,999 scenes);no fur-
ther scenes can be copied ontothe memory card. Delete some scenes (_ 56) to free some
space.
Mem. Card Unable to recognize the data
- The memory cardcontains scenes recordedin a different television system (PALor SECAM).
Play back the recordings in the memory card with the device originally usedto record them.
Memory card A writing error Attempt recovering the data?
- This messagewill appearthe next time you turn on the camcorder if power supply was acci-
dentally interrupted while the camcorder was writing onthe memorycard. Select [Recover]to
try to recoverthe recordings. If you removed the memorycard and used it with another device
after this happened,we recommendyou select [No].
