Connectionswith External Devices
Videonoise appears on the TVscreen.
- When using the camcorder in a roomwhere a TVis located, keep a distance betweenthe
compact power adapter and the power or antennacables of the TV.
Playback looks fine on the camcerder but there is no image on the IV screen.
- The video input on the TV is not set to the video terminal to which you connectedthe cam-
corder. Selectthe correct video input.
- There will be no video output from the AVOUTterminal while the optional CTC-IO0 Compo-
nent Cableis connected to the camcorder's COMPONENT OUTterminal. Disconnectthe
CTC-IO0 ComponentCablein advanceto use the AVOUTterminal.
There is no sound from the IV.
- When connectingthe camcorder to an HDTV using the optional CTC-IO0 ComponentCable,
make sure to connect also the audioconnections using the white and red plugs of the sup-
plied STV-250NStereo Video Cable.
The camcorder is connected using the supplied HTC-tO0/SHDMI Cable, but there is no picture
or sound from the HDIV.
- Disconnectthe HTC-IO0/SHDMICableand then restore the connection or turn the camcorder
off and then on again.
The camcorder is connected using the supplied HTC-IO0/SHDMI Cable, but RDMI-CECdoes
not work (cannot play back using the TV's remote control).
- Disconnectthe HTC-tO0/S HDMIcable and turn off the camcorder and the TV. Nter a short
while turn them on againand restorethe connection.
- _ _ [Control for HDMI] is set to [Off]. Set it to [On].
- HDMI-CECis not activated on the connectedTV.Activate this function on the TV.
- Evenwith TVsets compatible with HDMI-CECthe range of functions available differs depend-
ing on the type of TV.Referto the instruction manualof the connectedTV.
The computer does not recognize the camcorder even though the camcorder is connected
correctly.
- Disconnectthe USB cable and turn off the camcorder.After a short while, turn it on again and
restore the connection.
- Connect the camcorder to a different USBport on the computer.
- The camcorder will not be correctly recognized if you connectedthe USB cable to the com-
puter while the camcorder was deleting all the photos.Disconnectthe USB cable and restore
the connection once the operation is completed.
Cannot save photos on my computer
- Whenthe memory contains too many photos (Windows- 2,500 photosor more, Macintosh -
1,000 photos or more[,you may not beable to transfer photos to a computer.Tryusing a card
reader to transfer the photos on the memory card. F_'._lf_l/lI_d only: To transfer the photos
in the built-in memory, copythem to the memory card in advance(_ 116).
